Currently, we are participating in the Sao Paulo Biennial with a very special exhibition, the complete project of August Sander Menschen des 20 Jahrhunderts (People of the 20th Century), it is the first time that all 619 works have been displayed at the same time.

To complement the exhibition in Brazil, we will be presenting a unique group of 24 vintage August Sander prints in the Grand Palais for Paris Photo. This group has been curated by Gerd Sander, the grandson of August Sander and the leading authority on the artist. This selection epitomizes the ideas and ideals that guided Sander throughout his project Menschen des 20. Jahrhunderts (People of the 20th Century), further defining his mosaic of German society seen through the diversity of his portraits. Each subject is honored by the artist, his personal connection to the individual is evidenced by the animation of their character and humanity. August Sander’s enduring motto was, “See, observe and think.” This group was previously exhibited in the Tate Modern, London in 2009 as a part of Artist’s Rooms.

We also be showing the work of modern masters John Cohen, Harold Edgerton, Walker Evans, Louis Faurer, Jaroslav Rössler, Aaron Siskind, Weegee, Wols and also by contemporary masters Sean Hemmerle, Jory Hull and Michael Somoroff at Paris Photo, FEROZ Galerie, stand C2.
