Michael Hue-Williams Fine Art was founded in 1993 and has been situated in Cork Street since 1996, in a space designed by the minimalist architect, John Pawson. Albion Gallery opens 15 June 2004 Michael Hue-Williams Fine Art opens in a new location, opposite Cheyne Walk in London. The gallery - Albion, has been designed by Norman Foster/Foster and Partners and comprises over 11,000 sq ft of exhibition space. Overlooking the Thames, Albion is an aluminium and glass curve with an inner picture gallery of 150 ft, and a large double height exhibition space (24ft high) at the rear of the building for which Arnold Chan, the lighting designer for Isometrix has installed a technical and complex ceiling of soft, stretched white canvas. The third hanging space will be used for new media and video installations. India Mahdavi, nominated in France as Designer of the Year 2003, has designed the interior details as well as the furniture for the gallery.
