The audience is the compass. This is why OÖ Landes-Kultur GmbH launched a survey at the beginning of the year to become better acquainted with the needs and interests of the guests visiting the collections.

Interest was considerable and far exceeded our expectations: Several hundred people of all age groups and from different regions in Austria and abroad were questioned in personal interviews. One suggestion in particular stood out: almost half of all visitors* expressed the wish for more photographic and media art.

Asked - heard - done: The Francisco Carolinum will be the new venue for photography and media art in Linz.
