Catherine Henriette

Conte d'hiver et conte d'été

Conte d'hiver et conte d'été

6 Oct – 12 Nov 2022

Catherine Henriette’s works are autonomous universes in which the theatre of humans is played out in miniature.

With distance, the artist depicts a disproportionate world in which our reference points are lost, the sky and the earth, the infinitely large and small merge. This setting is inhabited by characters prey to the sublime of their present.

In her work, composed as a tale, the artist questions our relationship to space and to our collective individuality.

Fascinatingly precise… more

No Wind Today

No Wind Today

25 Aug – 1 Oct 2022
The exhibition No Wind Today is devoted to the work of the Austrian artist Iris Hutegger, where photography and embroidery meet. Her works are unique pieces that raise the question of our reaction to the flood of images in an era of hyper-reproducibility.

Iris Hutegger takes analogue photographs of the mountains on a colour negative, enlarges the resulting images and prints them in black and white. The image is then subjected to the slow and delicate process of embroidery on her sewing machine.… more

Things Come Slowly

Things Come Slowly

24 Mar – 21 May 2022
"Life passes at the speed of a bird's cry.
And then there is this hypnotic slowness of the clouds.
This open chest in the blue
and this snowy heart that offers itself to our heart."
– Christian Bobin, Un bruit de balançoire, 2017

For the spring season, the exhibition "Things Come Slowly" invites you to enter
the meditative work of the Spanish duo Albarrán Cabrera. It is their first

Elliott Erwitt

Found not Lost

Found not Lost

13 Jan – 19 Mar 2022
The exhibition "Found Not Lost" devoted to the American photographer Elliott Erwitt proposes the meeting of two views that the artist has been able to bring to the world.

First, that of the genius reporter from the Magnum Agency, whose daring photographs underline with humour the absurdity of the human condition. On the other hand, that of a man in the last stage of his life who decided, in 2018, to re-examine the photographs taken at the beginning of his career, far from the tumult o… more

FLORE

Maroc, un temps suspendu & L’odeur de la nuit était celle du jasmin

Maroc, un temps suspendu & L’odeur de la nuit était celle du jasmin

6 Nov 2021 – 12 Jan 2022
In FLORE’s work, memory acquires a unique temporality, oscillating between reminiscence and becoming. It describes the disturbing moment which intertwine that which has been lived with what might happen.

The exhibition provides an encounter between the two series "Maroc, un temps suspendu" and "L’odeur de la nuit était celle du jasmin" which, each in their own way, describe how we live memories.

"The Time of Memory" is long, heartbreaking and te… more

Chervine

On that Day

On that Day

2 Sep – 7 Oct 2021
"My photographs are taken in ordinary places, in places where life is just going on. I have always considered the streets of New York as stages and its inhabitants as actors who interpret their own play, their history, their lives."
- Chervine

Photographing New York has become a textbook case. Aware of this heritage the Franco-Iranian photographer Chervine (born in Iran in 1972) manages to surprise us by showing the city in a new light. An engineer by training, he is a self- taught photographer… more
