Protect the European Union campaign launched at Foam
Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam is proud to partner with world-renowned German fine-art photographer Wolfgang Tillmans and Jop van Bennekom and Gert Jonkers, founders of Fantastic Man, for the Protect the European Union campaign, in collaboration with De Balie (Amsterdam), Cookies (Rotterdam), Het Nieuwe Instituut (Rotterdam) and Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art (Rotterdam). Japanese photographer Daisuke Yokota (b. 1983 Saitama) was chosen as the winner of the tenth Foam Paul Huf Award 2016. This annual prize, given to a photography talent under 35 years, consists of 20.000 Euro and an exhibition in Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam.
The Foam Paul Huf Award continues to attract portfolios from all over the world. The jury chose Daisuke Yokota from a pool of 97 nominated photographers, from 29 countries worldwide.

Foam Magazine wins Lucie Award
Last weekend Foam Magazine was announced as winner of the Lucie Award for Photography Magazine of the Year at Carnegie Hall, New York City. The Lucie Awards is the premiere annual event honoring the greatest achievements in photography.
The Lucie Awards are presented by the Lucie Foundation, a charitable organisation whose mission is to honor master photographers, discover and cultivate emerging talent, and promote the appreciation of photography worldwide.

Eric Gyamfi (Ghana) wins Foam Paul Huf Award 2019
Today, Eric Gyamfi (b. 1990, Ghana) was chosen as the winner of the thirteenth Foam Paul Huf Award. The award is presented annually by Foam to a photography talent under the age of 35. Karin van Gilst appointed director of Foam
The board of Foam photography museum Amsterdam announces the appointment of Karin van Gilst as director from 1 July 2023. Van Gilst, who has been associated with Foam as director ad interim since September 2022, will continue her work from a permanent appointment.
